Prevention Groups Can Support AGLC Enforcement Without Selling Bill 208 as Finished
Youth prevention groups should be able to say two things at once: enforce harder, and fix Bill 208 before it creates room for illegal sellers.
The part we can agree on
AGLC's tobacco enforcement work shows that illegal nicotine markets are not theoretical. They can involve large volumes, tax avoidance, cash, and criminal investigations.
That matters for Bill 208. If restrictions are adopted without an enforcement plan, illegal sellers may get more room, not less.
Prevention should ask for proof
A prevention-first bill should include source-of-access reporting, visible complaint pathways, and a public illegal-supply plan. Otherwise, the bill risks being a headline rather than a youth-protection system.
